PURPOSE:   Accounting Technician supports the Accountant and Accounting assistant by supporting the preparation of expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases, and reconciling invoices. Working with our accounting department to run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.


Essential Functions

  • Filing documents within the relevant job bags
  • Provide support to the accountant
  • Prepare local payments at month-end
  • Preparation of the month-end reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and preparation of the monthly depreciation journal
  • Preparation of all Balance Sheet reconciliations



Qualifications and Experience

  • ACCA Level I or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a similar position
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills – pivot tables, logic statements, look-ups at a minimum
  • Must exhibit good analytical skills, be detailed oriented and deadline driven
  • Working knowledge of computerized accounting software
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
